Got an event or project you need to promote? We recommend on of the following methods of self-promotion:
Open-Mic Program
This is an excellent opportunity to make a great, face-to-face impression and get people excited about your event. Make sure to practice your 90-second pitch. There is typically an Open-mic opportunity at most AFM events and meetings. Anyone may participate in the Open-mic.
AFM Google Group Listserv
This listerv (or email list group) is an excellent way to spread the word about your event. Listserv Guidelines and other important details.
AFM Facebook Wall - Fan Page (Austin FilmMeet)
Post your event on our Facebook wall for all our visitors to see. This is a great way to get the word out and will make it easy for people to share online. Please don’t send us a message asking us to post it for you. Just go ahead and post it yourself – we trust you!
AFM Facebook Wall - Person Page (Austin Film Meet)
We also have a Facebook personal account. Don’t forget to post there too!
AFM Twitter
Email your tweet request to anthony@austinfilmmeet.com and make sure the content of the tweet is clearly identified. We’ll tweet it out for you on the AFM twitter account. Don’t forget to include a link to more info.
We also recommend our official preferred posting websites for your posting pleasure, as appropriate. You should also considering posting your event notice with the following sites, as appropriate:
AustinActors.net (for auditions & casting notices)
AustinFilmCasting List (for auditions, classes, actor news, etc.)
